What do you like best about this course?:
Vidit Nanda is the ideal TA (Teaching Assistant). He does a good job in clarifying the material covered in lecture. A very nice, entertaining guy, who answers questions from the students very thoroughly.
Vidit is by far one of, if not the, most organized and well spoken TA's I've had during my 3 years at Rutgers. He really made this course a LOT easier to understand and did a terrific job breaking down the material during recitation.
Very good at explaining what we went over to class in a way that we could do homework and exam problems
Vidit - he was a good TA even though i don't think my grades came back fairly
vidit was funny and it was very comfortable and an calm learning environment that encourage learning
Doing examples, explaining the concepts, and the joking around in recitation
Nandas patience
The instructor's teaching style is fun and it is not boring when he lectures.
many examples.
humor
If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:
The MAPLE labs didn't teach my anything. I just followed the directions online and handed in my work. I see why we should learn maple, however we used it so little that it didn't make much sense to use at all. Quizzes and Workshops were helpful.
I don't know why, but I feel like during the second half of the course Vidit did a LOT of HW problems, but I think that what the other students wanted so...
no maple labs. Did not improve my understanding of concepts at all.
encourage students to go to office hours and hav either more TAs helping for more office hours
More group discussion
nothing
nothing. you were awesome!
nothing
Nothing
more explanation in concept
donuts
In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:
not sure
intellectual growth and progress?! ... well um .... make clac3 slightly more interesting
i know more about math
The workshops were reasonably difficult...
again his patience and the way he taught the students which was really good
The instructor has not encouraged growth and progress.
it was ok
comedy
Mr. Nanda was a very dynamic instructor. While Professor Greenfield presented the course material in an abstract manner, Mr. Nanda presented the material in the way we needed to know it for the class.
Other comments or suggestions::
Best TA ever.
I really want to commend Vidit for doing such a great job TAing this class, and I'd like to recommend him for the TA award. I will be writing a letter to the Math Department about this.
good job! helped my understanding of the material a lot.
More office hours!! i don't care about your other classes!!! =] <3
Vidit is a great TA, hopefully he teaches one day.
he tries hard preparing the recitation worth going to the class.
